Role & Responsibilities

• Provide quality food and beverage service and consistently meet guest satisfaction standards.
• Protect the Aman brand and ensure business partners and guests enjoy an exceptional on-property experience aligned with Aman culture.
• Handle guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to satisfactory resolution.
• Adhere to handbook rules and regulations and hotel policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Maintain high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
• Assist servers with food and beverage service, particularly for large groups.
• Ensure condiments and other supplies, including napkins and extra cutlery, are available in the dining room.
• Keep the dining area clean and ensure tables, chairs and surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Set tables with crockery and cutlery and ensure glassware is correctly placed.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and communicate them to servers and waiters.
• Follow up on orders to ensure food and beverage items are delivered accurately and on time.
• Refill water glasses and take additional drink and starter orders.
• Present menus and help customers make informed choices suited to their tastes.
• Monitor restaurant activity and clear used dishes promptly after customers leave.
• Present checks and ensure change and receipts are returned.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and neat attire that reflects positively on the employer.
• Attend to detail, including placing orders exactly as specified by customers.
• Listen carefully to patrons and respond to their preferences, including specific food preparation requests.
• Remain polite and positive when dealing with rude or dissatisfied patrons.
• Multitask to serve the needs of multiple diners simultaneously.
• Build goodwill and attend to customer needs while respecting their personal space.
• Meet performance expectations for guest interaction as a representative of Aman’s culture and traditions, guest satisfaction, individual productivity, and attendance and punctuality for work and training.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position in a hotel or restaurant.
• Team player.
• Positive, motivated and passionate, with a can-do attitude.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge.
