Amangiri seeks a Kitchen Steward to maintain exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen and dining facilities at this ultra-luxury desert resort in Utah. Reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor, the successful candidate will operate dishwashing equipment, organize food and supply storage, ensure adequate service ware availability, and maintain back-of-house spaces in alignment with Aman's exacting hospitality standards. The role also involves supporting staff meal preparation and performing flexible duties in a fast-paced, high-service environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring proper use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to sanitation protocols
- Maintain pristine cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, coolers, freezers, and storage rooms
- Receive, organize, and store food and cleaning supplies upon delivery, ensuring proper labeling and rotation
- Ensure kitchen and restaurant teams are equipped with requisite service ware and equipment daily
- Maintain cafeteria cleanliness and stocking for colleague meals throughout shifts
- Label, date, and organize all items appropriately at shift conclusion, adhering to storage standards
- Manage rubbish removal and floor cleaning throughout service periods
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests while maintaining cultural sensitivity
- Uphold a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with Aman standards
- Perform additional duties as directed by management and support operational excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Oral proficiency in English
- Open availability with ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- Capacity to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and time management discipline
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and awareness
- Ability to sustain extended standing periods

Experience
