Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R systems resort-wide, ensuring optimal, efficient, and safe operation
- Diagnose and repair failures in equipment including VRV/VRF systems, fan coil units, air handling units, packaged A/C units, mini-splits, refrigeration chambers, kitchen equipment, exhaust fans, and pumps
- Verify, measure, and adjust equipment operating parameters such as pressures, temperatures, and electronic controls to ensure proper performance and energy efficiency
- Perform installations, replacements, and modifications of components, piping, ductwork, and control systems in accordance with established technical specifications
- Properly manage and handle refrigerants, equipment, and materials while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety regulations, and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of services performed, equipment conditions, readings, consumption, repairs, and technical data
- Support planning and control of inventories for spare parts, tools, materials, and consumables required for HVAC/R system operation and maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service reports from various resort areas, providing professional support focused on operational continuity
- Coordinate with other technical departments and operational teams on work involving multiple disciplines, reporting any risks, damage, or anomalies to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Strictly comply with resort safety, environmental protection, and operational policies; actively participate in training and support departmental activities as required
Qualifications
- Technical degree, technical diploma, or certification in HVAC/R or related field
- Demonstrated minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Strong foundational knowledge of basic electrical systems, mechanical systems, and electrical controls
- Proper training and certification in the handling and use of refrigerants
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of demonstrated hands-on experience with refrigeration and air conditioning systems in a professional or hospitality setting. Experience with complex HVAC/R installations and multi-system coordination is preferred.
Education
Technical degree, technical diploma, or certification in HVAC/R or a closely related field; refrigerant handling certification required.
