Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the Front Office Department within budgetary guidelines and labour cost controls
- Prepare and control duty rosters for Front Office staff, managing holidays and lieu days while maintaining cost efficiency
- Supervise all Reception and Concierge operational tasks, overseeing check-in and check-out procedures
- Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs in a manner consistent with luxury hospitality standards
- Address guest complaints and requests promptly, managing email and telephone communications
- Train, induct, and develop Front Office staff members; identify training needs and manage performance appraisals
- Implement and evaluate standard operating procedures and policies to ensure adherence to hotel standards
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure quality standards and maintain visibility with guests and staff
- Encourage upselling opportunities and implement revenue optimization strategies
- Verify room assignments and monitor arriving and departing rooms daily
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the hotel product, upcoming arrivals, and destination attractions
- Provide all requested reports to hotel management and the Corporate Office
- Verify and sign Front Office purchase orders
- Perform site inspections for guests and external visitors
- Fulfill Duty Manager functions as required
- Attend and contribute to morning and operational meetings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front office management within a luxury hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Exceptional organizational and scheduling skills
- Advanced communication abilities in English; proficiency in additional languages preferred
- Thorough knowledge of hotel property management systems and reservation software
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining luxury service standards
