Aman Food and Beverage Assistant Manager

Role & Responsibilities

• Support management of all food and beverage operations, including order taking, service delivery, and guest satisfaction across all dining venues
• Ensure smooth coordination between service and culinary teams to guarantee timely and accurate order delivery
• Maintain exceptional service standards through consistent supervision, training, and performance feedback to F&B team members
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests promptly and professionally
• Support daily pre-shift meetings to align service goals and communicate guest preferences
• Coordinate execution and delivery of guest amenities and special occasions across departments while maintaining detailed records
• Train, mentor, and supervise F&B staff to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and Aman service expectations
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and assist in scheduling, payroll, and team development initiatives
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to develop strategies enhancing service quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency
• Monitor compliance with Department of Health requirements and company safety standards
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize waste and spoilage through effective ordering and stock control
• Support initiatives to innovate and elevate the food and beverage experience in alignment with industry trends
• Assist with ordering, procurement, and vendor coordination
• Prepare and maintain operational reports and documentation as directed by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a luxury food and beverage environment
• Strong operational knowledge of food service, beverage management, and guest engagement
• Proficiency with Micros, SevenRooms, and Opera systems highly preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across departments
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism
• Flexible schedule including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• TIPS and ServSafe certifications required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 45 lbs; prolonged standing and walking required
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a variety of climates
• Sensitivity to cultural nuances and commitment to Aman's philosophy of genuine, intuitive service

Experience

Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or assistant management experience within a luxury food and beverage environment, with demonstrated expertise in restaurant operations, guest service, and team leadership in upscale hospitality settings.

Education

No specific degree requirement stated; ServSafe and TIPS certifications required or obtainable upon hire. Multi-lingual abilities are advantageous.
