The Director of Human Resources leads property HR operations at Amangani, serving as a strategic and operational partner to the leadership team and overseeing colleague relations, HR systems, workforce planning, learning and development, and compensation and benefits. The role is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead HR business partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, contributing to strategic and operational decisions.
- Oversee all property HR operations, ensuring policies, procedures, and standards are effectively implemented and continuously improved.
- Manage the full colleague lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Lead employee relations matters, ensuring outcomes are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with business needs.
- Oversee HR system processes, including payroll data, personal records, attendance, and reporting.
- Ensure the property has the structure, headcount, and talent required to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Oversee the property’s Learning & Development and quality agenda.
- Lead employee communications across the property, aligning messaging with business priorities, culture, and values.
- Ensure grievance and disciplinary procedures are handled consistently and appropriately.
- Ensure compensation and benefits are competitive and aligned with the luxury market.
- Plan, direct, manage, and oversee Human Resources Department activities and operations, including talent management, labor relations, compensation and benefits, and training; coordinate assigned activities with other departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 2–3 years in the luxury hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, principles, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when required.
