Aman seeks a Chief Engineer for Amandari in Ubud, Indonesia, to lead resort engineering and maintenance operations, oversee hotel systems and preventive maintenance, and maintain property condition and guest comfort. The role is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage daily engineering and maintenance operations.
- Lead and supervise the engineering team.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
- Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water treatment, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, and other hotel systems.
- Carry out and supervise repair and maintenance work.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers when required.
- Monitor engineering costs, spare parts, equipment, and utilities.
- Support renovation, refurbishment, and engineering projects.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Resort Manager.
- Ensure a high standard of property condition and guest comfort.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Engineer in a five-star hotel.
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Hands-on, organized, and able to work independently.
