Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver signature Janu Tokyo welcome experiences that exceed luxury hospitality standards
- Lead, organize, and supervise all concierge desk operations to ensure smooth daily functionality
- Offer personalized recommendations and special arrangements for VIP guests, long-stay guests, and complex requests
- Coordinate guest services including restaurant reservations, transportation, local events, and cultural experiences
- Coach and motivate concierge team members through lead-by-example leadership and on-floor mentorship
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Rooms, Food & Beverage, Guest Relations, and external partners to ensure seamless guest journeys
- Monitor service quality metrics, response times, and guest satisfaction; implement continuous improvements
- Maintain accurate records and communications using hotel property management systems (Opera, HotSOS, Alice)
- Ensure the concierge desk remains organized, well-maintained, and professionally presented at all times
- Enforce company policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures across the concierge function
- Participate in training and professional development of concierge team members
- Generate and implement fresh ideas for guest engagement, operational innovation, and service efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of practical concierge or equivalent front-office experience
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a luxury hotel environment
- Proven management experience with responsibility for team supervision and development
- Practical knowledge of labour management and shift scheduling
- Advanced business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
- Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
- Advanced operational competency with hotel systems including Opera, HotSOS, and Alice
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office and proficient typing
