Beverage Manager at ultra-luxury Amanpulo resort, Palawan, Philippines – lead bar operations and beverage team. Full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to build genuine and meaningful relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Directs and oversees the sales and daily operations of the bar to ensure professional, refined, and exceptional guest experience
- Leads the development, coaching, and training of service colleagues within the beverage division, ensuring they are equipped to deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversees the achievement of departmental goals and ensures operational requirements are met effectively
- Assists in the training, performance management, and continuous development of service colleagues
- Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of guest functions and special events in accordance with Food and Beverage Department standards
- Manages beverage inventory and cost controls to maintain targeted cost-of-sales objectives
- Ensures effective stock control procedures, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation, inventory monitoring, and the return of substandard products
- Develops and implements beverage pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Assists in supervising all bar operations and shifts in the absence of the Outlet Manager or Food and Beverage Manager
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in beverage operations
- Proven experience in a management role
- Strong understanding of beverage operations, sales, and cost control
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and work simplification techniques
- Familiarity with sanitation and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Skills
Experience
Over 5 years of progressive experience in beverage operations, including proven management responsibility within a hospitality or food and beverage environment.
Education
No formal education requirement specified; however, hospitality qualifications or certifications in beverage service are advantageous.
