The Bar Supervisor supports the Head Bartender in leading daily operations across Amanvari’s restaurant, pool and beach, in-room, minibar, and other beverage services, and coordinates with the Resort Sommelier. This hands-on leadership role ensures operational readiness, product quality, service precision, and team training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily beverage operations across all bars and service points, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and product quality.
- Ensure beverage stations are fully equipped, properly stocked, and organized according to Amanvari standards.
- Support the Head Bartender in maintaining consistency in cocktail preparation, recipes, and presentation.
- Assist the Resort Sommelier with setting up and serving wine experiences, organizing the cellar, and managing glassware.
- Conduct regular storage-area checks to ensure products are handled and rotated in accordance with HACCP procedures.
- Lead daily briefings with bar teams, communicating updates, product knowledge, and service priorities.
- Ensure bar setup, opening, and closing procedures are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor service quality and assist the Head Bartender in implementing guest feedback from TrustYou and LQA.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Stewarding to replenish supplies and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all bar and back-bar areas.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in bar or beverage operations, preferably in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality.
- Strong technical knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail preparation.
- Basic understanding of wine service and cellar maintenance.
- Understanding of HACCP and beverage safety standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
