Alaïa — Paris: Visual Merchandising Assistant (Intern). Support boutique and window displays, install visual concepts and coordinate with store teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the visual merchandising team in the conception and execution of in-store and window displays across Paris boutiques.
  • Prepare moodboards, sketches and visual briefs to translate the creative direction into practical installation plans.
  • Assemble and install props, fixtures and displays; ensure all presentations meet brand visual standards and technical safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with store managers, buyers and inventory teams to schedule installations and manage onsite resources.
  • Document displays through photography and maintain an archive of visuals, measurements and prop inventories.
  • Source and manage props and materials, liaising with suppliers and internal ateliers as required.
  • Assist during special launches and events, providing hands-on support for pop-ups, trunk shows and seasonal resets.

Qualifications

  • Current enrolment in a recognised programme in visual merchandising, fashion design, interior display, scenography or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable aesthetic sensibility with a portfolio or visual examples of window/store displays, styling or related creative work.
  • Manual dexterity and experience assembling installations or working with fixtures and props.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills for close collaboration with boutique teams and suppliers.
