Alaia in Paris seeks a Legal & Procurement Manager (CDD) to manage contracts, vendor sourcing and procurement operations for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Draft, review and manage commercial contracts, NDAs, service agreements and supplier contracts to mitigate legal and commercial risk.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities: supplier selection, tender processes, negotiation of commercial terms, issuance of purchase orders and contract close-out.
- Maintain and administer the contract lifecycle and paralegal files, including version control, signatures, filing and digital recordkeeping.
- Conduct vendor due diligence and ensure suppliers comply with contractual, regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (design, production, finance, logistics) to align purchasing needs, delivery schedules and contractual obligations.
- Monitor procurement budgets and contract deliverables; escalate and resolve supplier performance or compliance issues.
- Support the legal team on ad hoc corporate and compliance matters, providing practical, business-oriented advice.
Qualifications
- Degree in law (Master) or equivalent legal qualification with strong knowledge of commercial contract law.
- Proven experience managing procurement processes and supplier negotiations within a fashion, luxury goods or creative industry.
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to contractual detail; demonstrable paralegal or legal-assistant experience.
- Strong negotiation, project management and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Professional level French and working proficiency in English (oral and written) preferred.

Experience
Minimum five years' combined experience in legal support/paralegal functions and procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within fashion, luxury goods or a creative manufacturing environment.
Education
Master's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification; formal training or certification in procurement/sourcing is a plus.
