Alaïa Paris seeks an Industrialization Manager for ready-to-wear development. 5+ years luxury fashion experience required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain bill of materials in collaboration with developers, updating within PLM systems and exporting to ERP
  • Manage and communicate nomenclature updates throughout production cycles
  • Track and expedite development of semi-finished components, embroidery, and trimmings in coordination with procurement
  • Analyse sample batches and provide technical feedback
  • Gather technical specifications during showroom reviews and participate in standardization meetings with collection teams and manufacturers regarding construction, assembly, and measurement specifications
  • Collaborate with internal pattern development studio on pattern engineering and design refinement
  • Create technical specifications, measurement charts, and production documentation; communicate revisions to manufacturers and maintain updates
  • Validate production master samples and first articles
  • Conduct factory visits to oversee industrialization and manufacturing setup
  • Monitor cost tracking to ensure weekly fittings remain balanced and inform industrialization decisions
  • Ensure manufacturing costs align with margin targets and strategic profitability goals
  • Guarantee adherence to production schedules within continuous improvement frameworks
  • Quality control and compliance verification of first articles before shipment approval
  • Identify production risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions in partnership with quality management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a luxury fashion house or haute couture atelier
  • Advanced mastery of pattern-making and garment assembly techniques
  • Proficiency in technical design software: Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM Centric
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing facilities across Europe
