Alaia — Paris seeks an Accessories Product Assistant Intern (Jewelry & Leather). Internship in product development for an atelier-driven fashion maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the product team across the accessories range (jewelry and leather goods) throughout the development cycle from prototype to production.
- Prepare and update technical packs, spec sheets and bill-of-materials (BOM) documents for samples and production.
- Coordinate sample requests, track sample progress with workshops and suppliers, and manage the sample library.
- Assist with costing exercises, purchase order follow-up and basic margin reconciliation.
- Liaise with design, development, production and quality-control teams to ensure timing and specifications are respected.
- Attend product meetings, take minutes and circulate action points to stakeholders.
- Monitor production timelines, shipment schedules and inventory updates; prepare regular status reports.
- Conduct market and material research to support trend validation, sourcing and short-listing of components and findings.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in fashion, luxury management, product development, industrial design or a related field; eligible for a professional internship (stage).
- Demonstrable interest in accessories with basic knowledge of leather goods and jewelry construction and materials.
- Strong organizational aptitude, meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with technical pack preparation and costing basics.
- Discretion, professional presentation and ability to work collaboratively within a small, atelier-driven team.
- Previous internship experience in accessories, product development or sourcing is a plus.
