Aesop seeks a Seasonal Retail Consultant in Toronto to introduce and sell skincare and fragrance through personalized customer experiences and support retail operations. This contract position runs from October 1 to December 31, 2026, with an end date of December 31, 2026; flexible weekend availability is required, including full availability on specified weekends. The hourly rate is CAD 22.08.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through storytelling, understand their needs, and demonstrate how products fit into their lives.
- Create a personalized customer journey, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Provide attentive service, offer complete regimens with samples, create a memorable departure, and invite customers to return.
- Embody Aesop’s values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow Aesop’s grooming guidelines and retail standards to deliver a consistent five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail when selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- A customer-focused and commercially driven merchant mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- A strong passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop skincare and fragrance.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as needed, and regularly lift up to 25 lb.
- Flexible availability, including weekends; full availability is required on specified weekend dates.
- Availability from October 1 to December 31, 2026; vacation cannot be accommodated during this period.
