Aesop seeks a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver personalized skincare and fragrance experiences, build customer relationships and complete retail essentials, including stock, inventory and store presentation. This part-time contract role ends January 16, 2027; availability is required from November 1 through January 16, with no vacation during that period and full availability on specific weekends.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through storytelling, understand their needs and show how products fit into their lives.
- Deliver personalized customer journeys, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Provide attentive service, offer complete regimens and samples, create a memorable departure, and invite customers to return.
- Embody Aesop’s values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow Aesop’s grooming guidelines and retail standards to consistently deliver the five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory and store-presentation tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- Customer-focused and commercially driven, with a merchant mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- A deep passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as necessary, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including weekends; full availability is required on specific weekend dates.
- Availability from November 1 through January 16, 2027; vacation cannot be accommodated during this period.
