Aesop seeks a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver personalized skincare and fragrance consultations, product demonstrations, and attentive service while maintaining store standards and completing stock and inventory tasks. This part-time contract runs through January 16, 2027; candidates must be available from November 1, 2026, through January 16, 2027, including weekends and specified full-availability weekend dates, with no vacation during that period. The hourly rate is $21.00.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through product storytelling, understand their needs, and show how products fit into their lives.
- Create a personalized customer journey, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Deliver attentive service, offer complete regimens alongside samples, create a memorable departure, and invite customers to return.
- Embody Aesop’s values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow Aesop’s grooming guidelines and retail standards to consistently deliver the five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store-presentation tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- Customer-focused and commercially driven merchant mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- Passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as necessary, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including weekends; full availability is required on specific weekend dates.
- Available from November 1, 2026, through January 16, 2027; vacation cannot be accommodated during this period.
