Aesop seeks a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver personalized customer experiences and sell skincare and fragrance products. This part-time contract runs through January 16, 2027; candidates must be available November 1, 2026–January 16, 2027, including weekends, with full availability required on specified weekend dates and no vacation during this period. The hourly rate is $21.50.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through storytelling, understand their needs, and present products in a way that relates to their lives.
- Create a personalized customer journey, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Deliver an attentive, memorable departure, build lasting relationships, offer complete regimens alongside samples, and invite customers to return.
- Represent Aesop’s values in all actions and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow Aesop’s grooming guidelines and retail standards to deliver a consistent five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store-presentation tasks diligently.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with attention to detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- A merchant mindset that is both customer-focused and commercially driven.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- A strong passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down stairs and/or a ladder as necessary, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
