Aesop is seeking a Seasonal Retail Consultant for its Toronto Eaton Centre location to deliver personalized product consultations, demonstrate skincare and fragrance, and support store operations. This fixed-term contract ends December 31, 2026, with availability required from November 1 to December 31, 2026, including weekends and specified full-availability weekend dates; vacation cannot be accommodated during that period. The hourly rate is CAD 22.08.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through storytelling, understand their needs, and introduce products in a way that relates to their lives.
- Create a personalized customer journey, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Provide attentive service, recommend full regimens and samples, and conclude each interaction with a warm invitation to return.
- Represent Aesop’s values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow Aesop’s grooming guidelines and retail standards to consistently deliver the five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with attention to detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- A customer-focused, commercially driven merchant mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- A strong passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as needed, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including weekends; full availability is required on specific weekend dates.
- Availability from November 1 to December 31, 2026; vacation cannot be accommodated during this period.
