Aesop is seeking a Retail Consultant for its Hamburg store on a fixed-term, part-time basis; the role also lists full-time hours of 167.5 per month and part-time schedules of 130, 100 or 70 hours per month. The consultant welcomes and advises customers, creates multisensory product experiences, guides the complete store visit, and builds lasting customer relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and create a trusting atmosphere for a relaxed store experience.
- Listen attentively, identify customer needs through targeted questions, and provide personalised recommendations that support lasting customer relationships.
- Create multisensory product experiences and rituals, such as handwashing rituals and fragrance sampling, to make products tangible and foster a deep connection with the brand.
- Guide customers throughout their store visit, from the initial interaction through their departure, with attention to detail and a lasting positive experience.
- Build trusting relationships and an authentic brand experience that encourage repeat visits and recommendations.
- Present products relevant to customers’ needs and contribute to an exceptional, holistic customer experience and the store’s commercial success.
Qualifications
- Initial customer service experience combined with a demonstrably successful, target-oriented sales ability.
- Strong understanding of team dynamics and the ability to motivate colleagues toward shared goals and actively foster a positive working environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with empathy to build strong, trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
- A passion for skincare and a good understanding of haircare, body care, fragrances, and lifestyle products; cosmetics expertise is an advantage.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to remain customer-focused in challenging situations.
