Aesop is seeking a Retail Consultant in Chengdu on a fixed-term contract. The role combines personalized skincare and fragrance advice, product sales and relationship-building with store operations, customer experience, performance targets and ongoing development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sell products through natural, in-depth interactions with customers, using effective communication and sales techniques to connect customers with products that meet their needs and build lasting relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of the brand and its products, share Aesop’s history and culture in response to customer needs, communicate its spirit and distinctive qualities, and understand its market positioning.
- Apply skincare knowledge to provide personalized care solutions and fragrance knowledge to make tailored product recommendations.
- Maintain the store’s sales floor and stockroom to Aesop standards.
- Use technology, systems and tools to create a high-quality customer experience.
- Complete store stock management and inventory counts to standard.
- Help ensure the health and safety of oneself and others.
- Meet compliance requirements for systems and processes.
- Raise operational and commercial practice concerns in the store.
- Welcome and engage customers inclusively, and manage interactions effectively both individually and as part of the team.
- Communicate sincerely and empathetically to understand customers and create personalized shopping experiences.
- Confidently recommend and demonstrate suitable products, using the product experience to facilitate sales.
