About Aesop
Aesop makes skin, hair and body care, fragrances and scents for the home. It began in a Melbourne hair salon in 1987 and joined L’Oréal in 2023.
Aesop is seeking a part-time Retail Consultant for its Sydney flagship to welcome customers, guide them to relevant products and deliver an inclusive experience that supports commercial success. The on-site roster totals 28.25 hours per week: Monday 9:00 am–5:30 pm, Tuesday 2:30–7:30 pm, Thursday 9:00 am–5:30 pm and Sunday 11:00 am–7:30 pm. The role offers product discounts, paid volunteering, performance-based bonus opportunities, learning and study support, employee assistance, Headspace access and summer wellness leave options.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the store and engage, listen and guide them towards relevant products.
- Use intentional interactions to deepen customers’ experience of Aesop products.
- Demonstrate products that address customer needs and deliver an exceptional, inclusive customer experience.
- Contribute to overall commercial success.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer service role or environment.
- Effective selling skills and the ability to drive commercial outcomes.
- A record of successfully participating in and contributing to a team.
- Ability to use empathy to manage interpersonal relationships and contribute to a positive, inclusive experience for all.
- An open mindset and deep curiosity, with a willingness to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of skin care and the skin care industry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hair care, body care, fragrance and home categories is advantageous.
- Mandarin, Korean or Japanese language capability is advantageous.
