A. Lange & Söhne Tool and Die Maker apprentice (m/w/d) in Glashütte, Germany — starting August 2027, CNC and precision machining training.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Fabricate specialized tools and fixtures for watch assembly, adjustment, and inspection processes
  • Perform precision metalworking operations including drilling, turning, milling, grinding, and other machining techniques
  • Read and interpret complex technical drawings to produce components to exact specifications
  • Program and operate CNC-controlled machine tools to manufacture precision parts and specialty tooling
  • Execute fine mechanical work within extremely tight tolerances (to one-thousandth of a millimeter)
  • Support multiple departments within watch production through specialized tooling and fixture creation

Qualifications

  • Secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or equivalent
  • Strong performance in mathematics, physics, and German
  • German language proficiency at B2 level (Common European Framework of Reference)
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Technical understanding and spatial reasoning ability
