A. Lange & Söhne Tool and Die Maker apprentice (m/w/d) in Glashütte, Germany — starting August 2027, CNC and precision machining training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Fabricate specialized tools and fixtures for watch assembly, adjustment, and inspection processes
- Perform precision metalworking operations including drilling, turning, milling, grinding, and other machining techniques
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings to produce components to exact specifications
- Program and operate CNC-controlled machine tools to manufacture precision parts and specialty tooling
- Execute fine mechanical work within extremely tight tolerances (to one-thousandth of a millimeter)
- Support multiple departments within watch production through specialized tooling and fixture creation
Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or equivalent
- Strong performance in mathematics, physics, and German
- German language proficiency at B2 level (Common European Framework of Reference)
- Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Technical understanding and spatial reasoning ability
- Strong concentration and attention to detail
- Patience and precision-oriented work habits

No prior professional experience required; this is an apprenticeship position for candidates completing or having completed secondary education.
