About A. Lange & Söhne

A. Lange & Söhne is one of Germany’s most distinguished haute horlogerie houses, celebrated for precision, restraint and exceptional craftsmanship in Glashütte since 1845. As an employer, the Maison offers a rare environment where heritage and innovation meet: watchmakers, engineers, artisans and commercial teams contribute to timepieces defined by technical ingenuity and uncompromising finishing. Part of Richemont, A. Lange & Söhne combines the intimacy of a specialist manufacture with the perspective of an international luxury group. It seeks meticulous, curious and committed talents who value excellence, long-term thinking and the quiet confidence of Saxon watchmaking tradition.

A. Lange & Söhne seeks a working student to contribute to retail experience and spatial design, from concept development and materials research to visual merchandising, prototyping, and documentation. • Support the development of creative display, window, and store-layout concepts that tell stories and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Research global design trends, sustainable materials, new technologies, and innovative retail and spatial strategies, and present findings concisely.
  • Work across design, project management, and production, actively contributing ideas in brainstorming sessions.
  • Help create design guidelines, presentation materials, and digital models.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled, at least in the third semester, in architecture, interior architecture, spatial strategies, industrial design, communication design, or a comparable programme.
  • Confident use of common CAD and 3D software tools, such as Rhino, SketchUp, Vectorworks, or AutoCAD, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Strong sensibility for form, proportion, colour, trends, and aesthetics.
  • Curiosity about innovative materials, spatial concepts, and digital interactions within physical spaces, with an interest in independent research.
  • Structured and independent working style, initiative, and enjoyment of teamwork.
