A. Lange & Söhne seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager in New York to lead luxury watch retail operations with sales, team management, and store oversight responsibilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal sales budgets in accordance with brand retail strategy and achieve boutique KPIs defined by boutique management and retail leadership
- Regularly analyze business opportunities and confirmed sales with boutique manager to refine future sales projections
- Lead sales team in building and executing action plans to achieve boutique targets through elevated client experiences, premium sales presentations, and long-term client relationship management
- Support boutique manager in exceeding boutique budgets and implementing HQ commercial guidelines across the sales team
- Act as manager-on-duty in the boutique manager's absence, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
- Identify training needs of boutique team members and support integration and onboarding of new staff
- Monitor staff adherence to company policy, grooming standards, and boutique guidelines including appearance, behavior, and professional conduct
- Lead and ensure compliance with all Richemont and brand audits, regulations, and policies
- Actively oversee accuracy of monthly and quarterly stocktaking, quality control, and stock discrepancy prevention
- Support monthly boutique reporting and operational metrics tracking
- Ensure maintenance of boutique facilities, including front and back-of-house spaces
- Support and ensure boutique team confidently delivers the Lange selling ceremony and brand experience
- Foster positive boutique atmosphere through optimistic, constructive, and confident engagement
- Build and maintain accurate, genuine relationships with customers to drive retention and lifetime value
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of luxury retail management experience with direct supervisory responsibility
- Demonstrated expertise in boutique operations and sales floor management
- Critical thinking skills with strong solution-oriented approach
- Initiative, conscientiousness, and complete follow-through on assigned responsibilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work priorities and responsibilities
- Availability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational communication skills
- Proven team player with ability to collaborate effectively in group dynamics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
- SAP proficiency preferred
- Secondary language capability a plus
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
