A. Lange & Söhne seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager to lead sales initiatives, support team development, oversee boutique operations, and strengthen client experience and CRM activities. The role requires 5+ years of luxury retail management and boutique operations experience, a bachelor’s degree, and flexibility to work varied schedules and travel; expected salary is $75,000–$80,000 annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal budgets in accordance with the brand’s retail strategy and achieve boutique KPIs defined by the Boutique Manager and Retail Director.
- Analyze business opportunities and confirmed sales with the Boutique Manager to refine future sales projections.
- Lead the sales team in developing action plans to achieve boutique targets through elevated client experiences, sales presentations, and long-term client relationships.
- Support the Boutique Manager in exceeding boutique budgets and implementing headquarters’ commercial guidelines.
- Support the preparation and delivery of monthly boutique meetings and follow-up actions.
- Review each boutique visit with the relevant sales team member and build an action plan for potential conversion or retention.
- Act as manager on duty when the Boutique Manager is absent.
- Identify and communicate team members’ training needs to the Boutique Manager.
- Ensure monthly staff programmes are planned and communicated to the Boutique Manager.
- Support the integration and training of new and existing team members.
- Monitor staff appearance and conduct in line with company policy and boutique guidelines, including uniform, makeup, language, hair, and accessories.
- Lead adherence to Richemont and brand audits, regulations, and policies.
- Ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual stocktaking and quality control, and take measures to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Support and lead required monthly reporting.
- Support and lead maintenance of the boutique, including front- and back-of-house areas.
- Support the team in confidently delivering the Lange selling ceremony.
- Contribute to a positive, optimistic, constructive, helpful, and confident boutique atmosphere.
- Build accurate and genuine relationships with customers.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- A can-do attitude and understanding of luxury retail sales-floor operations.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in luxury retail management and boutique operations, including direct reports.
- Critical thinking and a solution-oriented approach.
- Initiative, conscientiousness, and thorough follow-through across all responsibilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in work responsibilities.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, store openings, and closings to meet business needs.
- Flexibility to travel locally and internationally to support other boutiques and events when needed.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- A team-player mindset and ability to work well within a group or team dynamic.
- Proficiency in MS Office software, with expertise in Excel; proficiency in SAP preferred.
- A second language is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
