A. Lange & Söhne seeks Assistant Boutique Manager in Geneva. Support boutique operations, drive sales, lead teams, and deliver luxury client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal sales budgets in accordance with brand retail strategy while ensuring compliance with group procedures, legal, fiscal, and customs regulations
- Maximize profit margin while controlling and minimizing costs, including discounts, general expenses, and third-party commissions
- Analyze missed confirmed sales with boutique manager to refine future sales projections and develop action plans
- Organize private viewings with potential VIPs and discuss business opportunities with prospects
- Achieve boutique KPIs as defined by boutique manager and regional brand manager
- Implement and support HQ commercial guidelines as detailed in the Retail Manual
- Act as manager-on-duty when boutique manager is absent
- Identify training needs and support the integration of new and existing team members
- Monitor staff appearance, behavior, and adherence to company policy and boutique guidelines
- Provide coaching and feedback to boutique team members on collective and individual objectives
- Organize boutique team schedules and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure work equality
- Maintain boutique excellence in appearance and ensure compliance with brand guidelines and visual merchandising concepts
- Ensure maximum client welcoming, handling, and servicing; demonstrate brand ambassadorial skills with partners and dignitaries
- Maintain accuracy of monthly stocktaking and quality control; actively prevent stock discrepancies
- Perform weekly follow-up with regional head office for stock replenishments and active order requests
- Manage cash register control and ensure compliance with financial, legal, fiscal, and customs regulations
- Ensure timely reporting of sales data (daily and monthly) and identify operational strengths and weaknesses
- Support the boutique team in delivering the Lange selling ceremony and ensure positive boutique atmosphere
- Participate in VIP events and orders; manage customer database recruitment for marketing activities
- Handle client complaints with care and coordinate repairs and after-sales matters
Qualifications
- Proven experience in luxury retail boutique management or similar supervisory retail role
- Strong sales acumen with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets
- Proficiency with retail management systems and CRM platforms
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
- Fluent in French and English (additional languages advantageous)
- In-depth knowledge of luxury watches and horology preferred
- Brand ambassadorial presence and refined communication skills
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in luxury retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity within a high-end boutique environment. Prior experience with watchmaking brands or luxury goods is highly valued.
Education
Secondary education required; vocational training or certification in retail management, hospitality, or luxury brand management is preferred.
