Guerlain is hiring a Packaging Industrialization Project Manager in Chartres, France — permanent full‑time role at its production site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage industrialization schedules for new products and range evolutions, ensuring adherence to launch timelines for Guerlain and B2B projects.
  • Participate in feasibility, design review, technical meetings and AMDEC sessions alongside packaging developers and packaging engineering teams.
  • Assess industrial technical feasibility of marketing briefs against production line capabilities and define associated technical/process risk analyses and mitigation plans.
  • Define and validate production line and CCR range allocations for each new product with the Responsible Unit Pilot (RUP).
  • Specify required on‑line investments (new modules, tooling, modifications) in collaboration with industrialization technicians, supervisors and technical management.
  • Establish production standards and provide tooling and set‑up instructions (fiches de réglages) for the workshop.
  • Control and report on the packaging industrialization budget.
  • Maintain finished‑product BOM data (components, quantities, scrap rates).
  • Coordinate line trials with short‑term planning, quality and production: resource needs, machine availability, component availability, reports and provision of parts to supporting departments.
  • Attend production start‑ups and monitor implementation of action plans.
  • Ensure industrialization databases are up to date and reliable.
  • Support external capacity subcontractors in the industrialization of Guerlain products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives on the production site (PDCA), and perform line transfers when requested by logistics.
  • Support process investment projects: write specifications and qualify new equipment; explore new packaging and processes for internal or subcontracted applications.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene rules, BPF requirements and report any anomalies or drifts.

Qualifications

  • Master's level engineering degree (Bac +5) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in packaging industrialization or a closely related role within cosmetics, perfumery or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Strong project management capability with proven ability to drive cross‑functional projects to schedule.
  • Solid technical knowledge of packaging processes, tooling and production line constraints.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and qualifying production equipment.
  • Rigour, autonomy, reactivity, analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influence and team spirit; ability to coordinate with operators, technicians and external suppliers.

Experience
