Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform precise pressing, steaming and hand-finishing of high-value garments to Chanel quality standards.
  • Identify and treat stains using appropriate chemical and mechanical techniques while preserving fabric integrity.
  • Operate and maintain dry-cleaning and finishing equipment, steam irons and finishing tables; ensure routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
  • Carry out final quality control checks on finished pieces, documenting defects and corrective actions.
  • Manage workflow to meet turnaround deadlines and coordinate with ateliers, alteration teams and retail stores for dispatch and returns.
  • Maintain inventory of pressing supplies, solvents and finishing consumables; comply with hazardous materials storage and disposal procedures.
  • Adhere to workplace health, safety and environmental regulations when handling chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Professional certification or vocational qualification in textile care, pressing or dry-cleaning (e.g., CAP/BEP in related field) preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of fabric types, finishes and appropriate stain-treatment methods for delicate and luxury textiles.
  • Familiarity with industrial pressing equipment, steam finishing and standard dry-cleaning processes.
