Must-know Zegna Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Zegna before applying or interviewing for any role.

Founded in 1910 in Trivero, Italy, Zegna grew from a family wool mill into one of luxury menswear’s most vertically integrated houses, giving employees unusual proximity to sourcing, textiles, and finished product.
The brand’s roots in fine fabric production remain central to its identity, so careers at Zegna often sit at the intersection of industrial craftsmanship, innovation, and high-end fashion rather than pure runway image.
Zegna has long balanced tailoring heritage with modern lifestyle categories, making it especially appealing for job seekers interested in how a classic menswear house evolves across retail, merchandising, and product development.
Its Oasi Zegna project in Piedmont reflects a longstanding link between business and environmental stewardship, offering a brand culture that connects luxury performance with landscape, community, and sustainability.
Unlike many heritage labels that rely heavily on external suppliers, Zegna’s deep expertise in mills and manufacturing can offer broader exposure to the value chain than at more marketing-led luxury brands.
As the group behind Thom Browne as well as Zegna, the company gives some employees visibility into both understated Italian luxury and a sharper fashion sensibility, echoing the multi-brand dynamics seen at groups like LVMH or Kering.
