Must-know Valfleurier Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Valfleurier before applying or interviewing for any role.

ValFleurier is Richemont’s high-end movement manufacturer, created to supply finely finished calibres and components to several maisons within Richemont.
Based in Switzerland’s watchmaking heartland, the company gives employees exposure to industrial-scale precision engineering while working to standards associated with prestige houses such as Cartier, IWC, and Jaeger LeCoultre.
Unlike a consumer-facing luxury label, ValFleurier operates largely behind the scenes, which can make it especially attractive for candidates who want deep technical careers in movement development, production, and quality rather than retail visibility.
Its role typically spans movement conception, prototyping, testing, and industrialisation, offering job seekers a broad view of how modern Swiss mechanical watchmaking moves from R&D to serial manufacture.
Because it serves multiple maisons, ValFleurier can offer a more cross-brand perspective than working inside a single watch house, with insight into varied design codes, performance requirements, and manufacturing volumes.
For aspiring horology specialists, ValFleurier represents the infrastructure side of luxury watchmaking, where advances in precision, reliability, and scalable craftsmanship directly support the prestige of finished watches sold under other names.
