Must-know Puiforcat Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Puiforcat before applying or interviewing for any role.

Puiforcat is a storied French silversmith founded in 1820, prized for exceptional flatware, barware, and decorative objects that showcase the house’s exacting metalworking standards.
The brand became especially influential under Jean Puiforcat in the early 20th century, when his Art Deco designs helped turn silver into a modernist design statement rather than a purely traditional craft.
For job seekers, Puiforcat offers exposure to a rare combination of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary product development, with work that often demands precision, patience, and deep material knowledge.
Puiforcat is part of Hermès, which means careers there can connect artisanal savoir-faire with the broader culture, standards, and long-term luxury strategy of one of France’s most respected groups.
Because the house operates in a niche of ultra-high-end tableware and objects, employees are close to clients who value bespoke service, collectible design, and uncompromising finishing.
Its reputation rests on techniques such as hammering, polishing, and silver shaping that make Puiforcat particularly appealing to candidates interested in preserving endangered decorative arts skills.
