Must-know Marchesi 1824 Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Marchesi 1824 before applying or interviewing for any role.

Marchesi 1824 traces its roots to a celebrated Milanese pastry shop founded in 1824, giving the brand nearly two centuries of heritage in Italian confectionery and hospitality.
The house is especially known for refined pastries, panettone, chocolates and impeccably presented gift boxes, making it a luxury brand where craftsmanship extends beyond fashion into food culture.
Since becoming part of the Prada Group, Marchesi 1824 has gained greater international visibility while retaining its distinctly Milanese identity and artisanal positioning.
For job seekers, the brand offers a rare blend of luxury retail and high-end food service, so roles often combine client experience, visual presentation and product excellence.
Its boutiques are designed to feel like elegant salons, which means employees are expected to deliver the same level of atmosphere, discretion and detail associated with luxury fashion houses such as Prada.
Working at Marchesi 1824 can appeal to candidates who want exposure to a heritage business within a broader luxury ecosystem, with cultural proximity to brands in fashion, design and hospitality rather than a standalone pastry company.
