Must-know Laureus Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Laureus before applying or interviewing for any role.

Laureus is best known for the Laureus World Sports Awards and Laureus Sport for Good, giving careers there a strong social-impact dimension that blends brand building with philanthropy and global sport.
The organization was founded in 2000 with backing from Richemont, so job seekers may find its culture sits at an unusual intersection of luxury-group professionalism and purpose-led nonprofit work.
Because Laureus works closely with elite athletes, ambassadors, and international events, many roles demand fluency in partnerships, communications, fundraising, and stakeholder management across multiple markets.
Its identity is more mission-driven than product-driven, which can appeal to candidates who want to work near the luxury ecosystem without joining a traditional maison such as Cartier or Montblanc.
Laureus has built a global reputation around using sport as a tool for social change, so employees are often connected to youth development, education, inclusion, and community programs rather than conventional retail or merchandising priorities.
