Cookie Policy

Cookies and Your Experience

Cerulean uses very few cookies. Those that keep the platform working are always present. Those that measure how it is used are optional, and in many countries are set only once you have agreed. We use no advertising cookies, and we do not sell what we learn.

This policy covers every Cerulean site: ceruleanjobs.com and our country sites for France, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. It explains what these technologies are, which of them we use, and how you can exercise control over them.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are not programmes and cannot carry viruses or malware. They allow the website to recognise your device across sessions and remember certain information about your preferences or behaviour. Browsers offer similar places to keep information — local storage and session storage — which we use for the same purposes and describe here in the same way.

The Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

These are required for the platform to function, or remember a choice you have made. They do not require your consent under applicable law.

Signing in is provided by Kinde. When you choose to sign in, Kinde’s own pages set the cookies they need to complete it.

Analytical Cookies — optional

These help us understand how visitors use Cerulean — which pages are visited most and where visitors arrive from — so that we can improve it. The information is used in aggregate.

These cookies are provided by Google Analytics, a service of Google, which receives the information they collect. We have switched off its advertising features everywhere.

Where we ask first. If you visit from the European Union or the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, their neighbouring microstates and dependencies, Quebec, Brazil or Turkey — or if we cannot tell where you are visiting from — these cookies are not set, and Google Analytics is not loaded at all, unless you accept. Declining is one click, as is closing the question without answering. We ask again after six months.

Elsewhere, these cookies are set by default, and you may decline them at any time.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not ask.

Advertising Cookies

We do not use any.

On any Cerulean site, select Cookies at the foot of any page to see your current choice and change it. Declining there stops the measurement at once and removes the analytical cookies already set. Because each of our sites has its own address, each keeps its own record of your choice.

In your browser, you can also view, delete or block cookies entirely. Please note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in.
